短い夏は、急ぎ足で過ぎてゆく。

峠付近の、
緑深い場所にさしかかると、
白い蝶が舞っていた。
エゾスジグロシロチョウだっただろうか。

それは、群舞というほどではなかったが、
自動車にぶつかって落ちた蝶も
路上に多く認められ、
ふだんのようすと異なって見えた。

植物学者は山に入っているのだろうか。
昆虫学者は山に入っているのだろうか。
往路、
ありふれた相の林を見やりながら、
そう思っていた。

帰路、
自転車を傍らに止めた、
大きな白い捕虫網の人を見た。
わたくしがこの世にいることを知った。

気づかなかったけれど、
鉄床雲は、
きっとどこか遠くから、
こちらを見ていたはずだ。

短い夏は、
急ぎ足で過ぎてゆく。

昨夕の月

きのうの夕方、買い物に出かけた際、まあるい月。今宵は、青く明るい夜。月齢14.4。
昨日、その前夜からの雪で、まとまった積雪。網走の複数のブログで、これが根雪になるのではないか、と書かれている。たしかに、しばらく最高気温も氷点下の日が続くので、とけずに次の降雪となるのだろう。
